Fishing Description

Catch and release only!

For true lovers of fishing, nothing in North America competes with the South Fork of the Snake River. Guests at The Lodge at Palisades Creek, set on the upper reaches of the river, are thus perfectly positioned.

Additionally, the Lodge offers access to five sections of river, including Henry's Fork of the Snake River, the Teton River, Gray's River, the Blackfoot River and Palisades Creek -- so fishing opportunities are almost endless.

The Snake River is teeming with trout… over 7,000 fish per mile! Each of the four sections of our territory on the Snake River has its own characteristics and the 30 miles that flows through the canyon is home to cutthroat, rainbow and brown trout. The average South Fork fish is 15-17 inches long, and 20-inchers are not uncommon!
