Seasons change and spring is upon us. The Lodge at Palisades Creek has sprouted a new leaf. The summer of 2011 will bring lots of new changes to The Lodge. We are opening earlier and staying open later. Guests will no longer be charged for flies. Every one will receive a complimentary flashlight to make you way back to your cabin easier after dark, and maybe you'll remember us after you get home. There are also booking incentives like the one on our home page.
Justin Hays, Manager of The Lodge of Palisades Creek has 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, and with a passion for fly fishing I look forward to continuing the legacy of great food, great service and great guides. I also look forward to meeting our fantastic guests that have been visiting for years and introducing new guests to the Lodge. Rayna has been a native of Swan Valley for the past 20 years, originating from the Oregon Coast. Your guest experience here at the Lodge at Palisades Creek begins with Rayna. She is the smiling voice on the other end of the line when you call for bookings and reservations. She has been with us since 1998, she is the 'go-to' girl for all things fun in the Teton / Yellowstone Region. If fishing is not your gig, she can suggest and assit in booking other activities. Rayna has a mothering quality that is endearing to both staff and guests.
Bob has been in the service industry for years. He is an accomplished wood worker and fly fisherman. We are lucky to have him and his great spirit. A laid back Chef that always creates incredible quisine. Feel free to make a request Bob loves making food that makes you happy.
Stud
Vern lives here in swan Valley, Idaho. He is Rayna's brother. He keeps our grounds immaculate. A do it all kind of guy that can row a boat too. Vern has made a few luches in his day and is an all around team player.
Guy has been with us here at the Lodge at Palisades Creek since the very beginning. From the landscaping you see upon arrival, to the rooms you sleep in at night, his dedication and hard work are seen everywhere you look. He has helped to turn an old diner and gas station into the Lodge that it is today.Guy's professional demeaner and down home personality give you a sense of ease the moment you meet him. His "can-do" attitude and determination to give all he has to the guests are just a couple of qualities that make him irreplaceable to all of us.
Chelsie has been with the lodge for 5 years Her attention to detail and willingness to get her hands dirty make her a star employee of the lodge. Chelsie just had her first child, Brooklyn Skyy. Feel free to say "hi" and let anyone in housekeeping know if you need anything special to keep that at home feel.
Sun was born on a small Island on the west coast of South Korea. She has four sisters and an older brother that still live in Korea with their father. Sun immigrated to the United States in 1992 with her husband Jim to Alabama. After a three year stay, Jim was reassigned back to Korea at which time Sun decided to move up to Idaho falls with her in-laws for a year. After Jim's return in 1995 the two moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, great fishing and hunting. Fairbanks is also where Sun applied and recieved citizenship of the United States. In 1999 Jim retired and they returned to Idaho to make a home here in Irwin. In July of 2000 she started working for The Lodge at Palisades Creek and has worked there every summer season since.
