Meet the Natives
The Snake River eco-system
is formed by deep canyons, pounding waterfalls, islands, dams and
flood plains, all framed by carpets of wildflowers and sprawling
cottonwood forests.
In addition to a fish population estimated at 7,000 fish per mile,
the local wildlife includes moose, bison, elk, whitetail deer, cougar,
bobcat, black bear, river otter and mink
and for the ornithologists among us…
126 bird species, including Idaho's largest population of bald eagle,
trumpeter swan, osprey, sandhill crane, and blue heron.
