The 2008 fishing season is almost here and is shaping up to be a
good one. The snow pack for the South Fork drainage is at its
yearly average or above. That in turn means plenty of cold water
and healthy fish.
I was able to do quite a bit of fishing this past winter and the
fish that I caught were all good size and seemed to be wintering
well.
June will kick off with the salmon fly hatch, followed by the
golden stone hatch right after that. The end of June and
beginning of July we will start to see yellow sallies and green
drakes. And for the rest of July through September, we will see
more golden stones, pmds, and hoppers.
So, get your rods and reels and casting arms in shape and we
look forward to seeing you very soon.
