South Fork of the Snake River Fishing Report October 10th, 2017

Hi all fishing remains steady during cooler fall temperatures.  The lower sections seem to have better fishing than the upper.  Water is slightly off color coming out of Palisades Dam.  Water clears about 12 miles downstream and gets clearer the father down one goes.  Nymphs are the ticket with BWO emergers,  green and brown zebra midges and streamers on overcast days.  Current flows are around 4,000 c.f.s.

Opening of waterfowl hunting was a huge success.  The weather was rainy and cold, perfect to keep the birds flying.  Warm sunny weather has set in and we now wait for migratory birds which usually start to arrive first of November.  Call us to book a layout blind hunt in a field.  EPIC!!
