It’s August and the fishing is heating up. Time to think about fall and trophy hunting!

We have had a great summer so far.  Full reservoirs and cool temperatures have helped the fishing stay good through the season.  We are using large golden stone imitations and are still seeing lots of PMD action in the afternoons.  Cloudy weather and cool night time temperatures have helped keep water temperatures where they are best and the bugs keep coming.  Check out our Facebook page for daily pics of what is happening on the river.  You may also go to our website and see the new webcam installed on our property that looks out on the river,  just click Here.

Fall is just around the corner.  The Jackson Hole One Fly is the second weekend in September and we have seen nasty weather to start our fall season as early as then.  Good news is it makes the fish crazy hungry.  Cooler temperatures and shorter days trigger the feed before winter phenomenon.  If you want to catch a big trophy brown trout, this is the time to do it.  Streamers on a cloudy day, or Blue winged olives on a calm day.  There are less people on the river and fishing can be excellent!!  Call Rayna in the fly shop today to book a trip on the river or a few nights at our all inclusive lodge.  The food is great, the cabins are cozy and the fish are biting.  September is almost full we do have availability in October at this time.  Call soon and get booked for the best time of the year.  Fall is trophy time!
